NMCSL
is a nonprofit youth sports league, dedicated to supporting and encouraging
a positive and fun sports environment for our members in the Dallas/Fort
Worth
Mid-Cities area.
NMCSL
is a combined league of ten soccer associations. Each of these member
associations are dedicated to enhancing soccer in the North Texas area.
Several studies have
identified the following "TRUTHS" about youth sports:

"FUN
IS PIVOTAL";
If it isn't "fun", young people won't play a sport.

Skill development is a crucial aspect of fun; it is
more important to winning even among the best athletes.

The most rewarding challenges of sports are those that
lead to self-knowledge; "What can I achieve".

Intrinsic rewards (Self-knowledge that grows out of
Self-competition) are more important in creating lifetime athletes than
are extrinsic rewards (Victory or attention from others).
